8th Annual Benefit - November 10th, 2007Y-Haven Transitional Housing for Homeless Men will have its eighth Annual Steps & Stages Benefit on November 10, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Y-Haven is a social service branch of the Greater Cleveland YMCA. We are able to serve 133 homeless men where we offer a wide range of services, including substance abuse treatment, counseling and case management services. Our clients have an opportunity while they are here (they may stay for up to two years) to take advantage of our new Janitorial Training Program, or return to school (GED or college), get job training through referral to outside agencies, or assistance in finding work and assistance with locating permanent housing when they are ready to leave us. Our fund raiser consists of a silent auction, dinner and a play written, directed, and acted by the men of Y-Haven. It promises to be a wonderful exciting evening. The benefit will be held at Cleveland Public Theater at 6415 Detroit Ave. Ticket cost is $75.00 and $55.00 of that is tax deductible.
